Hardly Human: Basic Rundown

Let us take you on a journey as we travel back in time to Victorian England. On the outskirts of London Town lies the laboratory of Doctor Sheffield. He rarely ever goes into town unless absolutely necessary. However, due to a recent incident with his latest creation, he has lost one of his arms. Though he has found a way to make due with his prosthetic limb, the  Huge Aiding Numerical Digit Device, or "Hand-D" for short. He has not gone out in public since the accident, nor does he want to, so he has had to rely on his intellect alone to find a way to go out... or have some one else go for him. After nights upon nights of working, he had done it. His latest and most revolutionary invention yet was not only a way to assist him but also to offer companionship. And this creation was none other than the Elegant Rescuer in Cooperative Aid, or E.R.I.C.A. Though one would think she'd be graceful and poised as her name implies, this little Wind-Up doll is anything but. Though she tries her best to assist her creator in anyway she can, she's not always the best candidate for the job. However, dispite her imperfections Dr. Sheffield was proud to call her his own. And due to the fact that she is a bit frail and clumsy, he felt the need to protect her in any way he could. So he created a weapon to use only if necessary. No one has dared disturb the Doctor since the creation of E.R.I.C.A and the weapon. But as far as we know, they are still living happily in their laboratory in the countryside.
